Privacy Policy

The short version

LeetDesign collects the minimum it needs to run a practice site: your email and username if you create an account, the content and scores you save to that account, and standard analytics about how the site is used. Design drafts stay in your browser unless you publish them. We do not sell your data and we do not run ads.

What we collect

• Account information. When you sign up we store your email address and a username. With email signup, your password is stored only as a hash by our authentication provider (Supabase); we never store it ourselves. If you sign in with Google, Google shares your name, email address, and profile picture with us, and your name and picture become part of your public profile (see the next point).
• Content you create. Designs you publish, comments, and your best score per problem are stored with your account. Published designs and comments are publicly visible under your profile: your username, plus your display name and photo if you signed in with Google. Votes are different: your individual votes are visible only to you, and other visitors see only a design's overall vote totals.
• On-device data. Design drafts and your submission history are kept in your browser's local storage and stay on your device. They reach our servers only when you publish a design or, once signed in, when your best score is recorded to your account.
• Usage analytics. We use Google Analytics to understand how the site is used: pages visited, product events such as grading a design, approximate location derived from your IP address, and device type. This relies on analytics cookies.
• Log data. Like most websites, our hosting and authentication providers (Vercel and Supabase) keep short-lived request logs that include your IP address, browser type, and timestamps. We use them only for security and debugging.

How we use it

To operate the site: authenticate you, save your progress, display your published designs, and rank community content. To improve the product: aggregate analytics tell us which problems and features are used. To communicate: we send emails about your account, and occasionally about the product. Every non-essential email includes an unsubscribe link.

If you created an account on an earlier version of LeetDesign, we retained the email address from that signup and may contact it about the relaunch. Unsubscribing always stops those emails.

Cookies

We use two kinds: essential cookies that keep you signed in (Supabase authentication), and analytics cookies from Google Analytics. Blocking analytics cookies does not break the site.

Who processes your data

We do not sell personal data. It is shared only with the services that run the site: Supabase (authentication and database), Vercel (hosting), and Google (analytics, and sign-in if you use it). Each processes data on our behalf under their own terms.

Retention and deletion

We keep your account data while your account exists. Email support@leetdesign.com from your account address to delete your account, and we will remove your account data, including published designs, comments, and votes. Emails retained from the earlier version of LeetDesign are kept until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete them; a deletion request covers those too. Local storage on your own device is yours to clear at any time.

Children

LeetDesign is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their data. If you believe a child has created an account, contact us and we will delete it.

Changes

If this policy changes materially, we will update the date above and note the change on this page. Continued use of the site after a change means you accept the revised policy.
